Depending on how you use the service, we process:

• Account data: name, email address, hashed password and authentication records.
• Profile and listing data: player details, item descriptions, photos, sizes, price and location you provide.
• Interaction data: conversations, offers, favourites and support requests.
• Technical data: essential cookies, session and security information such as IP address and device data.

• To provide the marketplace and your account — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To keep the platform safe, prevent fraud and abuse, and handle support — legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To meet legal obligations, including consumer and tax rules — legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• For optional analytics or marketing, where used — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you may withdraw at any time.

We match listings to your player profile and searches using the details you provide (such as size, club and category). This uses simple rule-based filtering and does not make legally significant automated decisions about you.

We share data with service providers acting on our instructions, including our hosting provider (OVH) and database infrastructure (Neon). They act as processors under a data-processing agreement.

Other users see the information you choose to publish, such as your public profile name, listings and messages you send them. We do not sell your personal data.

We aim to keep data within the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep data only as long as necessary:

• Account and profile data: for the life of your account and a limited period afterwards.
• Listings, conversations and offers: while relevant to the trade and for dispute or safety purposes.
• Support requests: for a reasonable period to handle and improve support.
• Data kept to meet legal obligations: for the legally required retention period.

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. To exercise these rights, use Help & safety or email privacy@easyhockey.be.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. As most of our users are in Belgium, you can contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be. Because we are established in Estonia, our lead authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (Andmekaitse Inspektsioon) — aki.ee. You may also complain to the data-protection authority in your country of residence.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including password hashing and access controls, to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, so please protect your login details and report concerns immediately.

The service is not directed at children below the age required by applicable law. If you believe a minor has provided personal data without appropriate consent, contact us so we can address it.

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our service or the law. We will update the date above and, for significant changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
